Traveler application can adapt to the time difference

A group of researchers from the U.S. state of Michigan, an application for smartphones travelers can adapt to the time difference, which does hang in travel as a result of not returning the body to the new time and that needs for a certain period .

The researchers explained that the mathematical equations to indicate that it is possible to set the time in new areas much faster than previously thought.

Professor at the University of Michigan, Daniel Vorjr, who leads this research: "One of the ways to speed up this process, prolonged exposure to sunlight, which is a key solution, but it is the person that is exposed to light in a timely and appropriate way, and only shift the person to the wrong way ".

In this study, partially funded by the U.S. Air Force, the team used the Michigan equations prove predictable rhythm of the biological clock, where the team was developing a model of a person in the computer to calculate equations, which explained different tables from exposure to light for more than 1,000 trip possible.

It is possible that a person devoted little time each day is exposed to light, and whenever human exposure at the time of the appearance of the sun and orient the better, as well as the allocation of another time to avoid the light .

The researchers gave an example of one of the ladies was on its way from the U.S. to the UK, where I traveled from Detroit to London last five hours, arriving at 11:00 London time, bringing researchers that are believed to take the biological clock a full day for each area until re- adjust the time.

But the study suggested a timetable to adapt to take up to three days, as it should be on the person if arriving on the first day, getting light from 07:40 until 09:00, and from 6:20 until 19:40 on the second day, and the third and final day shall be exposure to light and from 05:00 until 19:20.

The application that the researchers in the applications market by releasing "iPhone", free application, also bears the name "Entrain does the calculations".

So far the application has not been tested with travelers to see if it really helps more than general advice, such as exposure to morning light when traveling eastward, but after using it will give travelers a choice of submitting their data to the study of the University of Michigan .

Said Dr. Charles Bay, of the Sleep Disorders Center at the Cleveland Clinic, said: "This is possible through the occurrence of such applications, it is unrealistic to apply."

He added, "Anything that can be done to improve your adjustment is welcome without drugs."
